Gaining Muscle Using Your Body as Resistance
Are you the kind of person that doesn’t want to join the gym or spend lots of money for gym equipment yet you still want to acquire muscle mass? you’re not alone! Lots of people think you have to have equipment to acquire muscle mass but what they don’t know is that Olympic Gymnasts use just their bodies as equipment. Information on getting muscle mass without fancy weights and things is easy to find on the internet. However, it will take time to look up, so if you want to get started as soon as possible, keep reading.
Fewer repetitions and more weight: that’s the current philosophy of gaining the maximum amount of muscle possible. This statement is mostly true, but I’m sure you’ve seen at some point a really thin person doing pushups with extreme ease. Try not to get so caught up in the lure of using fancy equipment that you forget all about the essentials of bodybuilding which is gaining muscle mass without weights. Keep with what works. Begin with the basis and progressively work your way up. Even though it will require effort, it’ll be worth your while.
The second bit of that misconception is the demand that it asks you increase the amount of while doing the exercise believing that you can to get enough resistance using your body so that you grow muscle. This is simply incorrect because you may gain muscle without the use of weights. Can you do one-arm pushups? One-legged squats? How about one-arm pull-ups? Exercises like these ones take tons of resistance and work to perform. They are most likely the same as, if not better than, using weights. In the end, however, they serve the same purpose. Some argue that doing exercises without extra weights are actually better than those that require weights. They defend this by saying that doing so lets you move the body around with more grace and in a natural manner whereas manipulating weights doesn’t.
The last rule applies regardless of using added weights or not. This aspect is what supports your vigorous exercise habits and allows the muscles to grow: a proper diet. Only eat healthy foods that have lots of protein. Then, with good dieting and exercise, without extra equipment, you can get the body that you’ve dreamed of and gain muscle mass.
